Upselling is the practice in which a business tries to motivate customers to purchase a higher-end product, an upgrade, or an additional item in order to make a more profitable sale. For instance, a salesperson may influence a customer into purchasing the newest version of an item, rather than the less-expensive current model, by pointing out its additional features.
Gigrove provides the ability to offer upsell items during checkout.
To set the upsell for a particular product:
- Visit “My items page, then click on the icon to edit a particular item.
- Scroll down to the tabs section and click on “Linked”. Select the items for Up-sell or Cross-sell.
In this section, you can define Up-sell and Cross-sell items. Up-sell items will appear on the product page, while cross-sell items will appear during the checkout:
