Art piece inspired from Château Lafite-Rothschild.
The first known reference to Lafite dates back to 1234 from the Gascon “la hite”, ie the mound. Jacques de Segur is responsible for the planting of the Lafite vineyard around 1670. In 1695, the son and heir of Jacques de Segur, Alexander, will marry the heiress of Château Latour. Both seigneurial estates of Lafite and Latour were thus unified, initiating the beginning of common wine history. The extraordinary vintages: 2000, 2003 (heatwave year) of 2005, 2009 and 2010. The permanent search for excellence that has passed through the Chateau Lafite-Rothschild’s history has developed, with the exploitation of its 100 hectares, a wine with a thorough bouquet of black fruit and licorice and a full, round mouth, tight in order to express power and vivacity.
Annual production : 210 000 bottles.
