Mido was born out of the desperate desire to find essential spices that remind us of home cooking. The old way of asking and begging friends and family to bring back some treasured spices and snacks from Africa was not working. So we set out to make it as easy as buying baked beans from the local supermarket. 

Our store location in the heart of busy Holloway Road in North London was the start. However, we simply didn’t just want serve the residents of North London. With this e-commerce website, we can truly make be local to almost everyone with access to the internet.
